Puget Sound Solar has completed the Community Solar installations at the Woodland Park Zoo’s Rain Forrest Pavilion and Commissary building. The arrays will produce about 16kW and 44kW of solar power, respectively.

This isn’t our first solar installation at the zoo. In 2011, our team installed solar on the zoo’s Historic Carousel. That array provides enough renewable power to operate the carousel all year long — that’s some 100,000 rides worth of power!

This community solar project wasn’t just limited to the Woodland Park Zoo, however. We also installed 15kW array at the Phinney Neighborhood Association. That’s 75kW of solar generating a sustainable future for our great city.
