Puget Sound Solar has completed four community solar projects totaling 300 kW for Tacoma Power, located on the roof of their main warehouse.  Project Manager Michiel Zuidweg and his diligent team slogged through some heavy weather to finish on schedule.  Our hats are off to the whole crew; everyone gave their best effort and it shows.

Community solar enables customers to join together to support local solar energy. It is a more affordable way to receive the benefits of solar energy, and does not require home ownership, the right location, or the initial cost of installing solar panels.    Tacoma customers can join this effort by purchasing $100 units.  Customers who buy solar units will receive an annual Washington state solar production incentive payment, as well as payment for the electricity produced from the project.
