Designed For The Future
We are thrilled to unveil the third logo in the history of Puget Sound Solar, marking a new chapter in our journey towards a sustainable future. Since 2001, we’ve been at the forefront of empowering local homeowners and businesses to harness the power of the sun. Today, we take a bold step forward with a visual identity that reflects our commitment to innovation, excellence, and the environment.
This is also representative of a deeper change in the company as our visionary founders, Pam Burton and Jeremy Smithson move toward retirement. The ownership now consists of two longtime employees, Will Sumner and Adam Lee. This update to our branding and website symbolizes the company’s continued growth through the years.
This logo represents our ongoing mission to end fossil fuel emissions and our dedication to providing exceptional design, installation, and customer service. The vibrant colors and dynamic shapes capture the essence of solar energy—clean, renewable, and full of potential.
A Symbol of Growth, Evolution And A Commitment
The design process for our new logo was meticulous and thoughtful. We wanted to create an emblem that would stand the test of time and resonate with our values. The result is a logo that is modern, sleek, and versatile, ready to represent Puget Sound Solar across various platforms and mediums.
As we introduce our new logo, we reaffirm our commitment to the communities we serve. We believe that every individual has the power to make a difference in the fight against climate change. Our new logo is a call to action, inviting everyone to join us in creating a cleaner, greener world.
Always Progressing
As the most experienced solar installation company in the Pacific Northwest, Puget Sound Solar possesses an unmatched level of knowledge about solar policy and technology that is highly beneficial to our customers. We’ve been leaders in solar advocacy as we’ve continually integrated the newest technological innovations into our solar projects.
Below, you can see the progression of our logos over the past 23 years. Our original 2001 logo included a “flying sun” drawn by famed artist Ida Griffin. It was on the cover of Zap comics #3 in 1969 and our original Owner/Founder, Jeremy Smithson received Mrs. Griffin’s permission to use the sun as part of our first logo. An employee’s spouse designed our second logo which debuted in 2010 and represented the interaction between the sun, solar panels, homes and charging electric vehicles. Our 2024 logo was designed by Mike Sylvester a Seattle-area graphic artist who worked closely with Will Sumner, our General Manager/Owner.
