We take Pride
in our consultative Approach
Quote Process
- Provide your contact information and upload a copy of your electric bill.
- Our team will promptly contact you to confirm receipt and request further details, if necessary.
- Our experts will develop a detailed preliminary design using cutting-edge LiDAR technology and high-resolution aerial photography.
- Following your review of the preliminary design, we will arrange an on-site visit to evaluate your electrical system and property. We will address any questions you may have during this visit and subsequently provide a final quote.
- We take a consultative, design-oriented approach to sales, ensuring a personalized experience for each customer.
Install Process
- Upon receipt of your deposit, we will secure your spot in our installation queue and introduce you to your dedicated project manager.
- Your project manager will keep you informed of the project timeline and schedule a pre-construction site visit to finalize details.
- Our permit coordinator will handle your net metering agreement and acquire the necessary permits for your project.
- The construction phase typically lasts 1-4 days.
- Upon successful completion of the final inspection, we will set up your monitoring portal and conduct a detailed system walkthrough with you.
- Following an inspection of your meter, the utility company will provide permission to operate your system.
30% Tax Credit
The 30% Federal Tax Credit is good through 2032 and will then steps down to 26% in 2033, 22% in 2034 and there will be no incentive starting in 2035. It is a dollar-for-dollar reduction in the income taxes that a person or company claiming the credit would otherwise pay the federal government. The entire cost of your solar PV system, materials, labor, permits and any related electrical work that is necessary for the installation is eligible. Re-roofing DOES NOT qualify. Learn more in the Department of Energy’s Homeowner’s Guide to the Federal Tax Credit for Solar Photovoltaics. (There are also solar incentives for businesses.)
Sales Tax Exemption
In 2019, Washington State extended the Sales Tax Exemption for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems up to 100 kW in size in 2019 Senate Bill 5116 – the Clean Energy Transformation Act. This is in effect until 2029 and covers the entire costs of the solar photovoltaic system including materials, labor, permits and any related electrical work necessary for the installation to operate.
Net Metering
Net Metering, an incentive available since 1996 and extended in 2019, is a contract that you sign with your electric utility allowing you to trade power with them at retail rates. When you produce more energy than you consume (running your meter backwards) the excess kilowatt hours, (kWh) are fed into the grid and credited to your account. When you produce less than you consume, you use the credits you’ve built into your account.
As a result, a solar array in the Seattle area may feed excess kilowatt-hours into the grid during the summer. Net Metering allows you to “bank” that extra energy with your utility to be used in the winter months when solar production drops and electricity consumption rises.
