Solar Incentives in the Balance

As our State Legislature completes their work on the budget this weekend, we are holding out hope for a continued solar incentive program that will cost less but still be attractive.

The route has been long and tortuous, and we still don’t know if we will have a positive result, but legislator/stakeholder activity on refining SHB 1912 has continued up to this moment.  This morning, at a Pride Brunch hosted by the 43rd District Democrats, there were three state senators in the room and we managed to buttonhole two of them before they left for the capitol.

If you haven’t already, contact your state legislators to let them know that you support continued solar incentives.  There is a negative campaign going on courtesy of The Alliance for Solar City that is not factual, so feel free to ignore it.
