On July 4, 2025, President Trump signed into law the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” effectively ending the residential solar tax credit (25D) after this year and introducing new restrictions on clean energy manufacturing incentives. In choosing to cut support for distributed energy, Trump has handed over the future of clean energy to our global competitors.
